AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 8:26 ¶ In the same way the Spirit [comes to us and] helps us in our weakness. We do not know what prayer to offer or how to offer it as we should, but the Spirit Himself [knows our need and at the right time] intercedes on our behalf with sighs and groanings too deep for words. |
Bible Question:
I read somewhere that God/Holy Sprit will not do something for us, or intervene, if we can somehow do it ourselves... that's how we grow, through suffering etc. It makes sense to me but haven't seen anything in the Bible either way. Any opinions on this pro or con, or bibcal references that may address this issue. |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Rom 8:26, 1 Cor 10:13 ... billk, greetings. The Holy Spirit will intevene when we need Him (Rom 8:26) and God we not cause us to be tempted beyond which we are able (1 Cor 10:13). Read these verses in their context. This may not be exactly the answer to your question, since I answered it when there is invervention. Searcher PS I'm thinking about the suffering part, too. |
