AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 7:18 For I know that nothing good lives in me, that is, in my flesh [my human nature, my worldliness--my sinful capacity]. For the willingness [to do good] is present in me, but the doing of good is not. |
Bible Question (short): Questions on the goodness of man |
Question (full): I'd like to revisit this verse. (imo)Paul is qualifying the residence of goodness in the believer here. But, is there anything "good" in unregenerate man? Since man is made in the image of God, does this make him "good"? Is unregenerate man's dead spirit "good"? Please provide scripture to support your answers. |
