Subject: Is Paul including here the Ten Commandme |
Bible Note: Sorry to confuse you Pixie. It is just in my reading of the passage of late, it seems to me, that there are two laws here. One ofcourse the law of Moses, but in relating to marriage and divorce, of which Paul is using as an illustration,he goes back to Gen 2v24 concerning the life-long commitment of marriage, broken only by death, according to the law. My original thought was, which law is he referring to, as the Ten Commandments don't seem to specifically prohit divorce if there were grounds for such. I guess my thoughts have been provoked by the fact that some use this passage to forbid remarriage under any circumstances. Would welcome your thoughts. |
