Bible Question: what do you understand by this verse |
Bible Answer: Greetings Chesi, "What then? Are we to sin because we are not under law but under grace? By no means!" Romans 6:15 [ESV] When I read this verse, this is what I think about: Grace from the Lord does not give us freedom to do everything that we please so that we can then go back to sinning! :-) For by grace we have been saved, and that is the gift of Christ. When we recognize that we are sinners, and feel guilty enough to repent of our sins and come into a "right" relationship with God, then we are to renounce sin, not going back to the sin that we just felt guilty of and repented of! Those are just some of my thoughts on this verse.. Blessings to you, Makarios |
