Bible Question: what do you understand by this verse |
Bible Answer: Hello, Under the Law, the only way to be declared justified is to follow the Law exactly, and precisely. Which, by the way, is impossible. Under Grace, however, one is justified through their faith in Jesus Christ and God. There isn't the strict adherence that is demanded by the Law. As a result, the belief circulated, which is still believed today, that you can be a christian, live like the devil, and still be saved. Paul, in his own unique way, is saying that that isn't so. Because you're not under the authority of the Law does not mean you can live like the devil. On the contrary, it means that you must live as one who belongs to christ. Paul goes into this in detail further in Romans. Jesus Loves You! Jesusman |
