AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 5:1 Therefore, since we have been justified [that is, acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God] by faith, [let us grasp the fact that] we have peace with God [and the joy of reconciliation with Him] through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed). |
Bible Question: What exactly is the cross symbolic of? I understand the messiah's suffering, pain and agony. But what else, I am a bible student and need to know this. |
Bible Answer: 17For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ. Romans 5:17 As the tree that cursed us now the very tree is brought under the curse of God to reconcile us to GOD. Paradise and a better life are promise to the Second Adam (JESUS CHRIST) who from the tree of the cross gives forgiveness, life and salvation. Ad Adam took Eve to himself and confessed This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh Gen 2:23 so our Lord takes us to Himself in Holy Baptism, Wherein we become united with his flesh and with his bone. In spite of the bitter suffering which he endured for his church no bone in his body was broken. This physical reality in his crucifixion gives testimony to the great truth that those who cling to him will be saved. He who believes and is baptised will be saved Mark 16:16 |
