NASB | Romans 4:15 for the Law brings about wrath, but where there is no law, there also is no violation. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 4:15 For the Law results in [God's] wrath [against sin], but where there is no law, there is no violation [of it either]. |
Bible Question:
If we are unaware (ignorant) of a Law of God, does God hold us accountable to it? What would be a case "where there is no law?" |
Bible Answer: mommapbs, I don't think so. In Romans 1: 16-18 it says that they know who God is but have turned away in willful ignorance. Elsewhere it says if we are guilty of one law we are quilty of all and have earned death. So I don't see any escape from the penalty. |
