NASB | Romans 3:4 May it never be! Rather, let God be found true, though every man be found a liar, as it is written, "THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 3:4 Certainly not! Let God be found true [as He will be], though every person be found a liar, just as it is written [in Scripture], "THAT YOU MAY BE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED [by sinful men]." [Ps 51:4] |
Subject: Jehovah's Witnesses in a Nutshell |
Bible Note: Cthetruelight: Yes, I agree. All we can do is to present the message of the Gospel of Christ, both to those who have been deceived by cults and to those who profess no faith. We sow the seed but God gives the increase. But there is a limit on how much sowing should be done on a single plot of soil! If the soil is not receptive, no amount of seeds will germinate in it, so we should shake the dust off our feet and proceed to new ground that may be more fertile..... I've been on this forum since shortly after it began in the spring of last year. And I have seen many unbelievers as well as many disciples of various cults and pagan religions come and go on this forum. Of course, in each of these cases, there has been debate, often bitter and drawn-out debate, and I must confess that I've seen little indication that good fruit ever came forth as a result. In the wake of these goings on, I can only conclude that a medium such as this is not really as effective as one might wish in leading the errant to the truth of God's word. Perhaps there are others who hold different views on this and they are, of course, welcome to show me wherein I err. --Hank |
