Did scripture not imply that he might have lived to see the promised land, had he not struck that rock as he did? Numbers 20:12 I believe the Lords Words gave such an implication in the punishment of death He dealt, for Moses' "eyes were not weak, nor his strength gone," yet Moses saw the promised land, then died, never crossing over into it. He wasn't sick or weakly person. He was just as human as you and I. That is why, even Moses, the man who laid eyes on the very presence of God All Mighty, was no more than a fleshly sinner, a murderer, saved by Grace. In His Name |
