Bible Question: Saddly, I committed adultery within my marriage and now my husband and I are divorcing. I am a believer of course. If i ever decide to marry again, will I be an adulteress? |
Bible Answer: If you repent of your actions and believe God you will be His righteousness (Romans 3:21-22 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; [22] Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ UNTO ALL AND UPON ALL THEM THAT BELIEVE:(emphasis mine) for there is no difference: [KJV]) If we confess our sins He is quick to forgive and forget them. This does not give us free reign to commit sins. If we believe God, we do our utmost to do what He tells us to do. Sin not. John 8:11 She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more. [KJV] It is a matter of the heart. You cannot hide what you truly think from God. If you have repented of your actions then He knows it. If your just going through the actions He knows this also. If I have stolen does this make me a thief for all eternity. Maybe in the eyes of man, but not in the eyes of God if I believe Him. |
