AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 2:14 When Gentiles, who do not have the Law [since it was given only to Jews], do instinctively the things the Law requires [guided only by their conscience], they are a law to themselves, though they do not have the Law. |
Bible Question: Does anyone know the difference between conviction and guilt? If so where did you find the answer to back that up? I am having a hard time figuring if it is guilt I am feeling over a certain situation or conviction from the Holy Spirit. I am a baby in Christ so not so harsh please :) |
Bible Answer: Peace to you EQ1, Paul informs us your state of guilt has caused a conviction from the Holy Spirit. This is a good sign because it shows God's Law is written upon your heart. Your conscience is bearing witness 14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15 since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) (Rom.2:14-15)!! Praise God, Ovadyah |
