Bible Question: Can anyone help me with Romans 14? I've heard it described as a personal conviction. I'm sure it applies to more than eating and drinking. Can we compare it to what type of TV we watch? Example: If a believer dosen't watch R-rated movies, should we do the same even if we think certain R movies are okay? Is there clear line of what things are okay and what things aren't? |
Bible Answer: it's personal but for me Christ lives in my heart and therefore Christ is with me, watching tv, would He watch what i have turned on? is a little sin ok? One little swear word, 2, 5, 10... where do you draw the number. also if you have children in the room and don't want them to watch what you have on then why is it ok for me to see it? granted we as adults have the choice to watch what we want to but i feel if it isnt suitable for my children then it's not suitable for me. i cannot say what is right for you, for we are all at different stages, but R-rated to me is a pollutant, however little, would you choose to eat or drink a little dirty water or food? or clean? |
