Bible Question: Merry Christmas to all! Question: There are many who are Christians who do not celebrate Christmas because they say that it's a pagan holiday. They know that other Christians celebrate the 25th in recognizing Jesus' birth and mission. How do we respond to those who disagree? Christmas is considered an American tradition. Didn't Jesus take part of traditions as well? |

Going to the website of your friend’s local church and look at their statement of faith. This will show you what it teaches. It is vital that you bathe your concerns in prayer. I don’t know how God will guide you to approach or not approach the subject. Definitely pray for your friend every day. Know that you are not the only one dealing with this painful situation. Prayer is the most important way to reach your friend. If they just do not like celebrations of this kind, that is a different matter. Respect their position. Be ready to give a defense of why you do what you do if asked. Also be gentle and respectful to others faiths even if you do not agree. Show them God’s love in your actions and words.
