Bible Question: Merry Christmas to all! Question: There are many who are Christians who do not celebrate Christmas because they say that it's a pagan holiday. They know that other Christians celebrate the 25th in recognizing Jesus' birth and mission. How do we respond to those who disagree? Christmas is considered an American tradition. Didn't Jesus take part of traditions as well? |
Bible Answer: Hello virtuous, Merry CHRISTmas! Personally, I don't know any Christians who don't celebrate Christmas due to it being a "pagan holiday". However, I suppose - for simplicity sake - that would fall under the liberties outlined in Romans 14: "Rom 14:1- "Now accept the one who is weak in faith, but not for the purpose of passing judgment on his opinions." (NASB) Blessings this holiday! BradK |
