AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 12:3 ¶ For by the grace [of God] given to me I say to everyone of you not to think more highly of himself [and of his importance and ability] than he ought to think; but to think so as to have sound judgment, as God has apportioned to each a degree of faith [and a purpose designed for service]. |
Subject: How high is your self-esteem? |
Bible Note: Aixen7z4 Isn't their ambition fueled by their self esteem? To argue over who would be greater would say they esteemed themselves worthy of such position. Jesus said the greater is not the one that is served but the one serving. That very concept is a complete reversal of the world's view of success, value, accomplishment. The world values what it receives, owns and controls, God says value what you give. Once again our true worth is defined by God and the correct view of our worth (self esteem) needs to be the realization of God's view. If we let the world define us we let imperfection set imperfect values, concepts and perceptions upon us. EdB |
