Bible Note: Greetings Steve, Yes, you are quite right. The commentary of the Zondervan NASB Study Bible is a little more "direct" at this verse... "12:20 HEAP BURNING COALS ON HIS HEAD. Doing good to one's enemy (v. 21), instead of trying to take revenge, may bring about his repentence (see note on Prov. 25:22)." - Nolan |
