Bible Answer: In biblical days people had to keep a fire going all of the time. When your fire went out you could place a small pot on your head and walk down the street. People would often lean out the window and place a hot coal in your fire pot. This was a gift and a blessing to you and helped you out. When we treat someone kindly who has mistreated us we place a blessing into thier life. We re-light their fire. |
