AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 12:19 Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave the way open for God's wrath [and His judicial righteousness]; for it is written [in Scripture], "VENGEANCE IS MINE, I WILL REPAY," says the Lord. [Deut 32:35] |
Bible Question: Is it good to our health psychologically to keep silent when someone is accusing without reason? God give us defense mechanism, why don't use it? |
Bible Answer: Ivory313 We can defend ourselves, by letting the truth be known. We are not to use revenge or vindictiveness as weapons for the destruction of those that attack us but we certainly can let the truth stand on it own. Look at Jesus the Pharisees often accused Him of things which he proved to be not true. Jesus even went as far as openly questioning their motives. Christians are not to be door mats we are called to let our light shine. Our light contains truth. EdB |
