Subject: What privileges Jesus give us |
Bible Note: John 1:12-13 and Galatians 4:4-5 talk about those who believe in Jesus have the right to become children of God. As a child of God you have certain rights, privileges, possessions and responsibilities. These are describes in Romans 8:17, Galatians 4:7 and Ephesians 2:4-10. Being a child of God is not only about the privileges it is about acting like a child of God. Acting like a child of God is about being a living sacrifice like in Romans 12 and serving others like in Mark 10:45. We are surrounded by a lost world and we as children of God are called to put aside our position that we have in Christ. And like Christ did reach out to the lost and bring them to Christ. Matthew 28:18-20 When Jesus came He did not concentrate on His rights and privileges that He had but he concentrated on us, the lost. We can get caught up in our position and inheritance that we have in Christ and forget all about the lost around us. Our attitude should be the same as Christ Jesus. for His Glory, Joanna :) |
