NASB | Romans 11:11 ¶ I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? May it never be! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 11:11 ¶ So I say, have they stumbled so as to fall [to spiritual ruin]? Certainly not! But by their transgression [their rejection of the Messiah] salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make Israel jealous [when they realize what they have forfeited]. |
Bible Question: What did Isreal forfeit also it sayes because of their trespass means riches for the world, and if their failure means riches for the gentiles how much more will their full inclusion mean! Please tell me in simple words what this mean. |
Bible Answer: Israel's rejection of the Son of God, Jesus Christ, brought the richest blessing the Gentile world would ever have access to...the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world, which leads to repentance and access to salvation. However, Israel has not stumbled or fallen so irrevocably that they cannot be saved. God has not cast off Israel completely. |
