NASB | Romans 11:11 ¶ I say then, they did not stumble so as to fall, did they? May it never be! But by their transgression salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make them jealous. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Romans 11:11 ¶ So I say, have they stumbled so as to fall [to spiritual ruin]? Certainly not! But by their transgression [their rejection of the Messiah] salvation has come to the Gentiles, to make Israel jealous [when they realize what they have forfeited]. |
Bible Question:
Have you guys talked about this? As you know, I'm new here so you may have had that conversation already and moved on.... I'm a good little Baptist (Hank will confirm that) but one of the doctrines I am not able to agree with is the "Once Saved Always Saved." I mean...I do understand that just because I might cuss Hank out that doesn't mean I'm suddenly not saved anymore...but if someone does lose their salvation at what point would that be? (Hank, I hope you know I'm just playin' around with ya.) Blessings, Vehoka |
Bible Answer: Greetings Vehoka, My sister in Christ, the answer is a resounding "Yes" when you ask if this topic has been discussed on this Forum or not... I wanted to provide you with an answer that I hope is not too "hard" or "hostile" in any way, shape, or form. But this Forum has a long history of this subject, and new users such as yourself will be greatly served by looking up that topic by use of the "Search" function at the right. You will get much more information than you desire to read, I guarantee you that! Blessings to you, Makarios |
