Bible Question: I don't know if this is the right place for me to be but I don't know where else to go. I am, or think and want, to be a christian and to be saved but I need somebody to talk to about it, not face to face. Where do I need to go? I am really confused, please help. |
Bible Answer: lost-n-MS- I pray that this site will be a blessing to you. First, you need to know all that being a Christian means. It means giving up to the Lord rulership of your life. It is not easy, but He has made so many promises to us that those who are not Christian can never comprehend the reality of it all. Peace, jooy, love, hope, etc. , and yes, trials and persecution, but through the rough times, you know that He is there and His love is eternal. He gave His very life in the most horrible way that can be imagined for YOU! Because He loves you and could not imagine going through eternity without you. But He will not force you to spend eternity with HIm. Nor will He force you trust in Him or make Him Lord in your life. If you choose to love Him, if you choose to give your life to Him, all it take is to repent of your sins (a turn around of 180 degrees - knowig the things you are doing or the life you are living is incomplete without HIm), acknowledging the Jesus Christ is God and you want Him to come into your heart and be Lord of your life forever. When you truly desire this, when you invite Him in, He will come in. He will revive the spirit you were born with and make it new in Him. You are His child. Then you need to find a bible-believing and teaching church. There are many denominations that teach what scripture has to say. And above all, read your bible. Get a version that is easy to understand and I would suggest starting with the book of the gospel of John. God bless you in your walk with the Lord. You will never walk alone.
