Bible Question: at what point is someone saved/forgiven of their sins? at baptism? (acts 2:38, 1 Peter 3:21, Romans 6:1-5), at the laying on of hands? (Acts 8:16-17), just by believing in Jesus?, by repentance?, when is it? |
Bible Answer: a dead person is saved when he receives life. it is the spirit who gives life. it is the spirit who give assurance that we are saved. we receive the spirit when we understand and believe, accept that our sins have been forgiven.we trust in the work of christ on the cross and receive the gift of life from the spirit. it is not forgiveness that saves us, everyone is forgiven. it is life that saves us. |
