Bible Note: Azure: The point is telling someone they need not be embarrassed or ashamed is because these two feelings are very often the things told when talking with some who are under the influence and ready to make such a wrong choice. So I do feel you not understanding my word choices might be a cluteral thing. As I stated to Steve the very least we can do is offer Scripture. Hebrews 4:12 is very clear that the Word of God can reach the heart on anyone who is in the deepest pit. My point is as this is a Bible Study Forum, and if we are even at a basic level of being a Christian could we at least not offer some word of encouragement from Scripture? I would suggest iw a person can not do at least that, perhaps it might be better to save the question for someone who has that gift of encouragement. Not all of us has all the gifts, and it would allow the body to function better. I say this in a strong concern that unless a person has some training and experience in helping with people ready to end their life, it might cause more harm than good. I had the very sad experience of being a pastor on a city that had a group of high school students that had made a pact to kill themselves. There were a number of teenagers who ended their lives before it came to an end. A great effor to teach the School teachers and Clergy and those who had contact with those teenagers was extensive. Prayer goes with out saying. Let's ask the Lord for words to say or wisdom to do the right thing. Blessings. justme |
