Bible Question (short): Titus and Romans:comparable introduction |
Question (full): Hi, I believe that Jesus baptized by the holy spirit [sic]. I believe that we should be filled with [the] holy spirit. Thus, I believe that the "spirit of holiness" of Romans 1:4 would be the most accurate rendering. I believe that the long sentence of Romans 1:1-7 in the Greek has pronouns of Deity that when totaled are divisible by three. I find that to be glorifing to the triune God and I praise Him in it. Now my question is this: Can this same situation of praise be accomplished by an accurate rendering of the long sentence of Titus 1:1-4? I have my own personal possible interpretation; what do you think? Can you find in this Greek sentence pronouns of Deity that total up to a number divisible by three? Would you want to try? Would you feel any need or desire to try? In other words, how far "off base" am I here? From the heart, Ray |
