Bible Note: Goodmorning sister, The greek word for baptize is the word baptizo-to baptize,wash. There are other variations of the same Greek word (3).The Holy Spirit is what you get as a result of your salvation.Look at verse 38 of Acts 2 The greek word baptizo refers to water.The Indwelling of Holy Spirit is the result of there repentance and confession (Ro 10:9)of Jesus Christ as Lord.Why would Jesus in Matt 28 tell the 12 to baptize in the name of the Father,the Son,and the Holy Spirit. Why would Jesus Comand them to do something that wasnt important?
