Bible Question: I have my own opinions of this but am curious what others think. Is it possible that much of what Paul wrote about marriage/divorce/relationships are much more than him trying to teach worldly issues. And could those teachings be used more correctly to show us our relationship to Christ. I feel that so much importance is place on his the "terms" he used in his writtings that we sort of "miss the point" he was making? |
Bible Answer: James, It is clear that Paul in his teaching about relationships between men and women, especially husbands and wives, is often teaching them to relate to one another in the same way that Christ, the Bridegroom of the Church, his Bride relate or in the case of the Church should relate to one another.
