Subject: Why did they act w/o Rome's permission? |
Bible Note: Hello Amiga! I like your Screen Name and I used to own a personal computer that was called an Amiga! :) Would it be possible that Nicodemus and Joseph of Arimathea "succeeded" from the Sanhedrin and became full time disciples of Christ? We simply do not read any more about these two outside of the Gospels. Also, I believe that the Sanhedrin did not need permission from the Romans to stone people, since they tried to stone Jesus several times but He simply eluded them because His time had 'not yet come.' So they could indeed stone someone at will, like they did to Steven here.. Amiga, bring on the Commodores! :) --Nolan |
