AMPLIFIED 2015 | Acts 20:24 "But I do not consider my life as something of value or dear to me, so that I may [with joy] finish my course and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify faithfully of the good news of God's [precious, undeserved] grace [which makes us free of the guilt of sin and grants us eternal life]. |

Bible Note: Dear Makarios, Jonathan Edwards is probably one of my favorite theologians -- although John Owen follows a close second. (Of course, John Calvin is right up there too!) I suppose that John Piper comes closest to a Jonathan Edwards of our day. There was a saying I heard in school, "A real theologian, upon hearing 'John, John, John, John, and John,' knows precisely who is being mentioned." :-) In Him, Doc PS Paul Washer is another man fairly similar to Edwards, but I did not want to include him as he is not a John. :-) |
