Bible Note: You ask: Where does this day of Pentecost fall in relation to the biblcal reference "the last days"? Before this question can be answered, we need to define what is meant by the term "last days". In Acts 2:17 the phrase "'last days' refers to the present era of redemptive history from the first coming of Christ (Heb 1:2; 1 Pet 1:20; 1 John 2:18) to his return." (p. 1636, MacArthur Study Bible, Word Publishing, 1997). Following are NT passage that include the term "last days" or "last times(s)". And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God,I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: Acts 2:17 (KJV) Hebrews 1:2 (KJV) Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds; 1 Peter 1:20 (KJV) Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 1 John 2:18 (KJV) Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.
