Bible Answer: My dear friend, if you don't make it to church on a Sunday you are not condemned to go to Hell...it sounds like you are a little bitter about this situation, huh? Lol! First of all, we need to understand that Church in the bible doesn't reference a building or a special place but a body of 'believers' Go here: http://www.biblegateway.com/resources/dictionaries/ Look up church, and find church in the list. It will help you define what a church really is. However, the Bible does counsel us to meet together as believers, for our own benifit. Nowhere, that I know of, does it say that if we don't meet together we can't be saved! However, active rebellion against the spirit in you, if it is leading you to go to church, is never a good thing! (Hebrews 10) 25Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Sometimes people say some pretty horrible things, and sometimes people interpret what people say wrongfully. Always take into consideration that perhaps you misunderstood, unless it was very obviously stated! If that is the case, then forgive! |
