NASB | Acts 16:27 When the jailer awoke and saw the prison doors opened, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, supposing that the prisoners had escaped. |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | Acts 16:27 When the jailer, shaken out of sleep, saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself, thinking that the prisoners had escaped. |
Bible Question: How did God use cirumstances in order to claim the jailer for himself. |
Bible Answer: If the jailer had killed himself, he could have never known the saving grace of God. It is quiet likely that the fact that all the prisoners were still present, was a strong indication of the truth of Christianity to the jailer. A positive, and powerful influence. GB |
