Bible Question: I am involved with a businessmen’s morning study group. Interdenominational! After a very recent event in my life I want to bring up scriptures showing actual physical contact with angles and heavenly hosts that save people from certain death. Can you help me! Or at least get me started in the right direction. I'm new in Christ and want it done right! |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... 2 Ki 6:17, 19:35 (Isa 37:36); Psa 91:11 (Mat 4:6), Act 12:7 ... Greetings RGS, I have a couple more to add ... Psalm 91:11 could be the passage you're thinking of. It was misquoted by Satan in Matthew 4:6. The angels would save one from death ... which probably would happen if one jumped from a tall place. 2 Kings 19:35 (Isaiah 37:36) fulfilled prophecy (Isa 10:33-34, 30:31, 31:8). The Assyrians were ready to capture Jerusalem. All they had to do is wait. Those inside had no escape. While these were not CERTAIN death, in all the passages cited death (or injury or capture) was very likely. Hope this helps, Searcher |
