Bible Question:
There has been much dicussion recently on the baptism regeneration issue and questions about the salvation of the thief on the cross. I believe the following may be helpful. Using this text, how can water baptism ever be a prerequisite for regeneration (salvation)? Read the account of Peter's message to the Gentiles in Acts 10:34-48 The Gospel was preached, the people believed, the Holy Spirit was given and THEN they were baptized with water. Hopefully, this will clear up any misunderstanding about the order that God has established for salvation since Eden. BELIEF is the key - God does ALL the work necessary to make us acceptable, to be righteous in HIS sight, to be reconciled to Him. After our BELIEF, we have the blessed opportunity of demonstrating our love for the Savior by what we DO. (Eph 2:10) Now let us honor His love for us and be likeminded as believers to be reconciled to one another! JESUS MUST BE FIRST ALWAYS! |
Bible Answer: Dear Mommapbs: Who can baptize someone else? Must it be an Ordained person as Southern Baptist believe? Where must it take place? Some have small bottles of the river Jorden water and add it in the rest of the water. Arethere certian word which must be said in a direct way to make baptism real? aagpe, justme |
