Bible Question: There is 2 differing accounts of how Judas (Jesus'betrayer)died.Acts1:18 totally differs from Matt27:5.Any thoughts? |
Bible Answer: There could be many reasons for this Matt 27:5 may be describing Judas intent and Act 1:18 what happened. Many feel Judas tried to hang himself but the rope either broke or pulled his head off and his body fell far enough that when it hit it literally broke open. This is a case where he hung himself as described in Matt 27:5 but his body was viewed as broken open laying at the foot of the hill by the Acts observer. |
