Bible Question: After Jesus ascended to heaven, who were the two men in white apparrel that talked to the disciples? |
Bible Answer: Angelface: What a sight it must of been for the disciples to watch the Saviour "taken up out of their sight." Acts 1:10 As we see at the beginning of the chapter, the disciples wanted to know when he would restore his kingdom on earth. Jesus made it clear that this time was only known by God himself. v7 As they stood gazing upward into heaven they are given this wonderful promise by the two men in white apparel "ye men of Galilee, why stand you gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which was taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as you have seen him go into heaven" v.11 We are not told who these messagers are, but we know they had a message from God which has provided a sure hope for over 2000 years.
