Subject: What did Jesus write on the ground |
Bible Note: Although the Bible doesn't say what Jesus wrote on the ground either time, It would seem logical that He wrote the woman's name and the accusation against her. When they kept questioning him, He wrote their names also. Did he write an accusation against them as well? Probably so. He probably began to write accusations against each one of them--sort of a coounter suit. I think they knew what He wrote. Why would they have left when He said to them: "Let him who is without sin cast the first stone at her". I believe he wrote so that all could see. They knew that He "had them", as the saying goes. They all threw their stones down and left. |
