Subject: Did Jesus do anything in secret? |
Bible Note: Hi Rowdy, Thank you for your post. I trust that you have been enjoying the forum. It is good to have you here. I wonder what Scripture you are thinking of when you say that Jesus was concerned about the bad publicity He was getting. Here are some Scriptures that I thought of when thinking of things being done in secret. Mark 4:22, "For nothing is hidden, except to be revealed; nor has anything been secret, but that it should come to light." That verse is surrounded by three expressions of "And **He was saying". The Stars are mine for comparison. John 7:4, "For no one does anything in secret, when he **himself seeks to be known publicly." John 18:19, "The high priest therefore questioned Jesus about His disciples and about His teaching. 20 Jesus answered him, "**I have spoken openly to the world;..." John 7:25, "Therefore some of the people of Jerusalem we saying, "Is this not the man [NKJ, He] whom they are seeking to kill? And look, **He is speaking publicly,..." John 7:45, "The officers therefore came to the chief priests and Pharisees, and they said to them, "Why did you not bring Him?" The officers answered, "Never did a man speak the way this man speaks." [NKJ, No man ever spoke like this **Man!] Could we interpret John 7:12 as saying, "He is a good **Man".? From the heart, Ray From the heart, Ray |
