Subject: Is Jesus the source? |
Bible Note: Hi 10ECPreacher, Hi Tim, I don't know if we have come to any general concensus, but it has been good to think about these things. I have a question for you about John 4:10. I would like to think that the "it" is talking about God, so I would have translated it, "If you knew the gift of God, and who He is who says to you, 'Give Me a drink,' you would have asked (Him) and He would have given you living water." And I would also in keeping with distinquishing between the Giver and the gift would make John 3:34 read, "For He whom God has sent speaks the words of (God); for He gives the *spirit without measure." This would equate the spirit given without meaasure to be the words of God. Any comments? From the heart, Ray |
