Bible Note: Dear Tim, For a person that claims to be a linguist of the Textus Receptus, I find it quite shocking that on your salutation you do not even grammatically spell out Christou, which is how it is translated in the Stephens 1550 Standard Textus Receptus, not transliterated like you do. You say you don't like the Strongs, but here is one of those small cases, where the Strongs and the Standard Textus Receptus have a slight difference. As a teacher in any type of class you do not call your classroom by the wrong name, because all you're teaching is confusion. But you don't even translate it from the Strongs. In your salutation, you corrupt the rendering of what you claim so dear, the Textus Receptus. You claim one and you say another. An example: If I or any person was coming to take a class from you on Greek, how could they even trust you to teach the scarce text when in your salutation you transliterate, when you should translate. Translate the scarce text and carry it as a banner of truth, not as a blemished mark. Rev 22:16 "I Iesous have sent Mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I an the Root and the Offspring of David, and the bright and morning Star." Rev 22:18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book." Deut 4:2 Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. Gal 1:6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Him that called you into the grace of Christou unto another gospel: Gal 1:7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christou. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits, whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Pet 3:15 And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given unto him, hath written unto you; 2 Pet 3:16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other Scriptures, unto their own destruction. 1 Tim 6:20 O Timothy, keep that which is comitted to thy trust, avoiding profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called: 1 Tim 6:21 Which some professing have erred concerning the faith. Grace be unto thee. Amen. Prov 30:6 Add thou not unto His words, Lest He reprove thee, and thou be found a liar. Tim, I've been real patient, but I'm tired of this salutation mistake, will you please stop repeating yourself. You dropped brother, now drop the corrupted salutation and find Tim as a child and go to Iesous and learn. |
