Bible Question:
Searcher, Thanks for your response... Sorry if I'm looking too much into it, or making this difficult.. So one can continue to be a Catholic believing in the virgin Mary, confessing your sins to the priest, or continue to be a Jehovah's Witness, believing Jesus is just the greatest man, or that the Holy Spirit is just a force, and still be saved? As long as the person has a relationship with Christ, that's all they need for salvation? |
Bible Answer: God's day to you, Julia, I think it is great that you continue to ask questions. One needs to be clear. We can only account if we a a Chirstian, that is we * acknowledge we are sinners, falling short of God's standard of prefection * believe in our heart on the Lord Jesus Christ for our salavtion, trusting in Him alone for our salavation * confess to others we are saved Read these sites on the Catholics http://carm.org/roman-catholicism http://www.gotquestions.org/catholic-biblical.html ... ask your pastor to give you guidance how to deal with a Christian Catholic. It needs to be gentle. My experience is that since she has been there a long time, she may feel like she is leaving her friends. This though just in ... maybe have a Bible study - invite her friends. (Normally we don't give advice, but I have shared this before). CARN also has info for Jehovah's Witnesses http://carm.org/jehovahs-witnesses Jesus is God Searcher |
