Bible Question: Could someone please explain the unpardonable sin to me please. Thank you. |
Bible Answer: A person can be forgiven any sin, Jesus said offenses against the Holy Spirit are Never forgiven. When you view the passages concerning this, please note there was an accusation of Jesus working miracles through the power of the Devil. This was saying that the works of God were coming through the Devil's agency. If you are saved, you can not do this, you have the Spirit within, and you won't attribute the works of God to the Devil. When you study this out, many feel the greatest sin is rejecting the testimony of Jesus, his ability to save us. My personal view after thirty years of considering this question is, when you reject Jesus you are guilty of the unpardonable sin. The Spirit brings the message of salvation through Jesus to a person, when this message is rejected, you have rejected the Holy Spirit, that sin CAN'T be forgiven. Please note the Holy Spirit is in the Jesus promotion business, not the promotion of himself. |
