Bible Note: Hi mommapbs, I know that we love Him because He first loved us. I know that I am grateful that He saved me and I have eternal life with Him. But I also know that it has been a joy to know Him in the Scriptures and that joy is full already. Can any man/woman love God as he loves us? No, I wouldn't think so. We can love our friends as He loved His friends, but that would be a very hard sacrifice for most of us. John 15:13. But I also believe in comparing/contrasting Scriptures, notably John 21:17,18 and John 15:12 that Peter loved his Lord and would die for His gospel and for His friends. 1 John 4:7, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. The one who does not love does not know God, for God is love." From the heart, Ray |
