NASB | John 20:25 So the other disciples were saying to him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the imprint of the nails, and put my finger into the place of the nails, and put my hand into His side, I will not believe." |
AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 20:25 So the other disciples kept telling him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see in His hands the marks of the nails, and put my finger into the nail prints, and put my hand into His side, I will never believe." |
Bible Question: Where is doughful Thomas. |
Bible Answer: Hi Holy Bible, Shame on me, but I would have to say that he is in the doughnut shop, maybe Dunkin Donuts, talking with some policemen? I hope none of my policement friends read this and I hope you get a chance to poke fun at my mispelled words soon. :)) John 20:25 shows not so much being doubtful, but unbelieving as verse 27 says. Thomas believed that his Lord and God was alive when he first saw him and Thomas rejoiced like the disciples did when they saw the Lord. John 20:29, "Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed." We were given these words so that we may believe and not doubt that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing you may have life in His name. Thomas said to Him as soon as he saw Him, "My Lord and my God." From the heart, Ray |
