Bible Question:
Referring to Matt 26:17-19; Mark 14:12-16; Luke 22:7-13; and John 13:1-4; 18:28, "Is (Was) the Last Supper the Passover of Jesus and His apostles?" -- Wayhunter, Jan. 04, 2003. |
Bible Answer: Wayhunter, The Last Supper was a Passover meal in which Jesus made plain what is His coming passion and crucifixion meant as "our passover" (1 Cor 5:7). He is the "Lamb of God" (John 1:36) without blemish (Ex 12:5) and and without any broken bones (Ex 12:46; John 19:33-36)we are saved by his blood from death (Ex 12:13; Hebrews 10; Luke 22:19-20).
