Bible Note: Hi ibelieve, I appreciate your posting here and the connection you make between John 17:5 and Col 3:3. I wonder though if you don't imply too much glory to us. We are raised up with Christ positionally, and seek the things above, but we are not seated with Christ at the right hand of the Father. Our glory is that we can be one body, whether Greek or Jew, circumcised or uncircumcised, slave or free, "but Christ is all, and in all." Col 3:11 John 17:24 says that we see His spiritual glory and verse 25 that we have known that the Father sent Him. Now we have to make His name, His authority known. Just as John 17:7 says, "Now they have come to know that everything You have given Me is from You; for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me." Our authority is in keeping His word. John 17:6--Col 3:16 Later, Ray |
