Subject: Our need for God's protection |
Bible Note: I find that the prayer of intercession by the Lord Jesus as he anticipated his leaving for the cross in John 17 is very moving as we get a glimpse into the intimacy with his father and we see his heart of care and love for those who were already his and those that would be his as the result of his atoning death. In V.24 it was his prayer that "I will that they also whom thou has given me, be with me where I am" Tonight as I think of dear love ones which includes sons and daughter-in-law who know not Christ I echo his words "And this is life eternal, that they may know thee, the only true God and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent." John 17:3 Dear fellow believers as we sail the sea of life and even if our sails are tattered and at times we may despair, remember, Jesus Christ is the Captain of our life and he will bring us safe to the other side. Praise his Name! "We have an anchor which keepts the soul, Stedfast and sure though the billows roll Fastened to the rock which cannot move Grounded firm and deep in the Saviour's blood. Robert |
