AMPLIFIED 2015 | John 16:7 "But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor--Counselor, Strengthener, Standby) will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him (the Holy Spirit) to you [to be in close fellowship with you]. |
Subject: Why did Jesus need to leave first? |
Bible Note: Amen, Doc, the order of salvation is spelled out pretty well in Romans 8:29-30 "For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son, so that He would be the firstborn among many brethren; and these whom He predestined, He also called; and these whom He called, He also justified; and these whom He justified, He also glorified."-- To bad so many refute these things and insist on having a hand in their own redemption, regeneration, justification, sanctification, and glorification, by ignoring the biblical truth of predestination. Soli Deo Gloria! John |
