Bible Question:
why do we make God' word so complicated? Prov. 13;15 tells us that the way of a trangressor is hard. God' word is true and the truth shall make you free.one thing we must realize is this , we must be sincere in what we do for Christ. and remember only what we do for Christ will last. and when we read Gods word we wont understand everything now as we read, but one day we'll understand it better by and by |
Bible Answer: Greetings Fran: you wrote. "we must be sincere in what we do for Christ. and remember only what we do for Christ will last." This is works or performance based Christianity. Jesus said, "Apart from me you can do nothing." We can be sincere 'til the cows come home, but self effort profits nothing. In His condemnation of the Church at Laodicea, the Lord rebuked them for depending upon self rather than upon Him - I suspect that this is what "lukewarmedness" really is . . . ponder this a bit OK? mommapbs |
