Bible Question:
John15:1-7 Can a person be a Christian and not bear any fruit? I say Salvation for every man born. Is he in Christ?,Does he remain in Christ. If he is a Christian how can he bear fruit,if he does not remain in Christ. Another question Is it possible for a person who is not committed to Jesus Christ,to live a fruitful life. if this person has sacrifices there life for the good of humanity. I cannot find a passage to help me understand. Thanks |
Bible Answer: Scripture ... Mat 7:15-23; Mar 4:13-20; Luk 3:7-9, 13:6-9 ... sweet, God's day to you. It depends on your view of the role of works after you are saved. I believe we work out our salvation (Phi 2:12). Ephesians 2:8-10 and James 2:14-26 also support that fruitfulness show we are His. If there is no fruit, I believe the person is not a believer ... like Judas. I cited other parables about fruit: Mat 7:15-23 ... bad/good fruit (Luk 6:43-44) Mar 4:13-20 ... unfruitful because focus on world (Mat 13:22, Luk 8:14) Luk 3:7-9 ... keeping with repentence (John's talking) Luk 13:6-9 ... no fruit There are people who sacrificed thier life for the good of humanity ... Princess Di, Mother Tersea and Ghandi are three. If they did not become Christians, there fruit is worthless. Searcher |
